The RGAA (Référentiel Général d'Amélioration de l'Accessibilité) defines the rules to be followed to make websites and digital services usable by everyone, including people with disabilities (visual, motor, hearing, cognitive, etc.). Since 28 June 2025, with the entry into force of the European Accessibility Act, this obligation has been extended to most private-sector players, in addition to the public sector. In concrete terms, this means public websites, private companies, e-commerce, banks, transport services, the media and digital platforms. Exempted: only micro-enterprises (with fewer than 10 employees and a turnover of less than €2 million). All organisations must now : comply with the RGAA criteria, publish an official declaration of accessibility, and draw up an action plan in the event of partial non-compliance.
